Adidas stores are about to get a nice technology upgrade. The Adidas adiVERSE Footwear Wall has recently been revealed at the store on Oxford Street in London. This interesting piece of technology, developed in partnership with Intel, is the virtual extend of a physical footwear wall. The computer powering the touchscreen wall, can hold up to 4,000 shoe models. Each shoe can be turned and viewed in every possible angle. Nothing you can’t do in a store so far.
But the adiVERSE Wall also holds pieces of information on your shoe the sales associates can’t provide, such as details on the technology behing the shoe, interviews from the shoe designer, commercials, and access to reviews and user comments from social medias.
When ready to make a purchase, an associates comes to you with a tablet to finalize the sale just like in an Apple store. [via TheAwesomer]
